THE MONOLITH
Symphonic Death Metal band Hades Descent, from Berkshire UK, presents their latest release. This album is a powerful blend of dark melodies and intense rhythms. It tells the tale of a Traveller from a far distant dystopian future who returns to the past, intent on altering the timeline to prevent his dystopia from coming to be.
Becoming
Set as a prequel to the next album "The Monolith", this tells the tale of a man from a far distant dystopian future who chooses to sacrifice his near immortality to travel back in time, and become human again.
SHUTDOWN
An epic cover of The Office of Strategic Influence (OSI's) ShutDOWN. As long time fans of OSI's work, this was a real joy to create. Also gave us the chance to explore some different vocal work with an outstanding guest performance.
Niflheim
With Niflheim, we wanted to tell a self-contained sci-fi story—cold, cinematic, and crushing. This was our first time working with 8-string guitars and shifting the orchestration toward a more dystopian, space-bound sound. It’s a tightly-woven piece designed to feel like one continuous journey through isolation, danger, and survival on a mythic frozen world.

The Solitary Path To Armageddon
This record was about pushing our dynamics—sonically and emotionally—further than we ever had before. It gave us space to experiment with new textures and pacing, while still hitting hard when it needed to. For us, it’s a turning point: a multi-layered journey that captures both the chaos and the clarity we try to bring to our storytelling.

Our debut EP was about establishing our voice—symphonic melodic death metal with a strong narrative arc and a theatrical edge. We wanted it to feel cohesive and cinematic, even in its short runtime, setting the tone for everything that followed. Looking back, it was a mission statement: bold, atmospheric, and a foundation we’ve continued to build on.
